Oil on board, 16 1/2 x 25 in., in a modern gilt frame.
Condition: Minor surface grime.

Provenance: Linden Tree Antiques, New Hampshire, September 1975.

Note: The 250-ton ship Union was built at Salem, Massachusetts, in 1802 and was lost on Baker's Island, Salem Harbor, on February 24, 1817.
