Description:

Red-painted Desk/Bookcase, late 18th century, the upper section with paneled doors opening to shelves, set into the lower section with thumb-molded lid opening to an interior of valanced compartments above two rows of drawers, old red paint, (imperfections), ht. 78 1/2, lower case wd. 37, lower case dp. 19 1/2 in.

lid broken out with repaired damage and replaced hinges, shrinkage cracks in lower case sides, repaired crack to back right bracket, loss to back left leg (has to sit on a shim for now), replaced brasses missing one bail, some pulls missing from interior drawers, one interior valance missing, chunk missing lower right of top section below hinge, imperfections to writing/work surface, red paint old but not original.
