Bolo from the Spanish-American War, c. 1899, crude wooden grip, iron ferrule and guard, steel blade, and tooled leather scabbard, with a note that reads: "Philippine Insurgents/Bolo/Picked up on the field of/Malabon-after the battle of/March 25th 1899 Manilla P.I."
