Signed and inscribed "A.E. Gallatin/November, 1939" on the reverse, titled on a label from Willard Gallery, New York, affixed to the reverse, inscribed "23" on the reverse.

Condition: Slight bowing to paperboard, surface grime.
Provenance: Gladys Pell Blankarn, cousin of the artist; by descent to her husband, Marshall P. Blankarn (1901-1987),Princeton, New Jersey, and New York City; to his nephew.

There are pale brown accretions or stains throughout. The bowing to the paperboard is very minor. There is no evidence of retouch under blacklight examination. No further condition issues to report.
