Where The Town Constable Lived
Signed "F Hopkinson Smith" in pencil l.l., titled on a presentation plaque affixed to the frame backing paper.
Watercolor and gouache on paper/board, sight size 21 1/2 x 28 1/2 in. (54.6 x 72.4 cm), framed.
Condition: Fine craquelure in gouache impasto, not examined out of frame.
Estimate $1,500-2,000

The support is toned, but the colors are bright and the pigment seems stable. Although it has not been removed from its frame, there are no other issues to report.
