Seized on his Arm And Mangled Bore away the Sinewy Part (The Demons Tormenting Ciampolo), plate 2 from Illustrations to Dante's Divine Comedy, 1827, 20th century impression (Binyon, 128). Unsigned, inscribed "Impression taken from the copper plate in my collection 1953-1954 Lessing Rosenwald 6/1/54" in pencil in the lower margin. Engraving heavy watercolor paper or similar, plate size 11 x 13 7/8 in. (27.6 x 35.2 cm), framed.
Condition: Not examined out of frame.
Out of the frame the sheet measures 14 1/4 x 20 1/8 inches. Please note that this is an impression from 1953-1954.
