Pair of Grotto-style Carved and Painted Center Tables, probably Italy, 20th century, octagonal faux marble painted tops, one with central medallion depicting Apollo in his chariot surrounded by signs of the zodiac and set in a faux stone and gilded outer border, the other with a central image of Cybele in lion drawn chariot bordered by images of animals with a faux stone and gilded outer border, both tops on craved, painted, and gilded tree-form pedestals and set on tripartite floral carved base, ht. 33 1/4, dia. 40 1/2 in.
