Description:

George III Sterling Silver Covered Vegetable Tureen, London, 1810-11, William Bennett, maker, with an engraved armorial, gadrooned rim and acanthus-capped finial, lg. 11 1/2 in., approx. 50.1 troy oz.
Estimate $700-900

Lid with extensive abrasions, scattered minor dents throughout, silver solder repair to one side. Tureen base with light abrasions, small unobtrusive dent to foot (wobbles slightly).
