Danish Modern Hanging Light Fixture,

c. 1960, Hans Wegner "The Pendant Lamp" for Louis Poulsen, enameled aluminum, chrome-plated brass, fixture ht. 13 3/4, shade dia. 20 in.

Provenance: A Wellfleet Massachusetts Estate.

Note: Professor Kenneth A. Johnson was a National Science Foundation Fellow at the Institute for Theoretical Physics in Copenhagen in the 1950s prior to joining M.I.T. and purchased many of the items in Denmark that would later furnish his Karl Koch-designed home in Lincoln, Massachusetts.
