Eight Cumberland Furniture Company Dining Chairs, New York, 1960, two armchairs and six side chairs, ht. 34 1/2, wd. 22 1/2, 19, dp. 33 in.
Provenance: Part of the original furnishings of a York Avenue, New York, penthouse apartment decorated in 1960 by Associated Designers for Interiors, Inc. The residence featured mid-century modern and Danish furnishings by Herman Miller, George Nelson, Georg Jensen, Jens Risom, Hans Wegner, George Tannier, Dux, and the Cumberland Furniture Company.
Due to space limitation, two of eight items in this lot will be included in the preview at our Boston gallery. Samples included in the preview are representative of all items in this lot with respect to condition. Items withheld are available for inspection at our Marlborough facility upon request by emailing 20thcentury@skinnerinc.com.
