Southwest Polychrome Pottery Frog Olla, Zuni, early 20th century, the high-shouldered form with four painted frogs holding onto the sides and four butterflies painted on a cream-color ground, (minor paint loss), ht. 9, wd. 12 1/2 in.
Provenance: Private collection, Long Island, New York; Martha Hopkins Struever, Santa Fe, New Mexico.
No visible cracks or repairs; minor paint loss and craquelure in the pigments; considerable pigment loss in the butterfly wings.
