Description:

Hopi Polychrome Pottery Seed Jar, attributed to Nampeyo of Hano, c. 1910-15, or one of her daughters, with two black painted birds on the sides each separated by an abstract feather motif, (broken into a number of pieces sometime in the past, and reassembled after a restoration of the previous repairs, cracks unrestored), ht. 6, wd. 10 1/2 in.

Exhibitions: Desert Sea & Ice, Lyme Academy Gallery, Old Lyme, Connecticut, December 1987-February 1988, illustrated in show catalog as no. 83, p. 27.
