Northwest Coast Argillite Panel Pipe, Haida, c. 1860s, classic openwork form, very finely carved with a reclining raven with long open beak, a humanoid figure holds its beak, with its knees supporting the bird's wings, another creature rests against the human figure as well as against another bird with a long beak and crest, which is bent forward at the front of the pipe, (one end broken and missing), lg. 9 3/4, ht. 3 in.
