Birthdays for Everybody, Young & Old... Signed "ORSON/LOWELL" l.l., identified and dated "...1915" on a printed label Ink and graphite on paper, sight size 23 x 25 in., framed. Condition: Creases, minor toning, not examined out of frame.
N.B. The label on the back indicates that this illustration was drawn to accompany an article by Helen Ring Robinson entitled "Adventures in Growing Older: Being the Last in a Series of Adventures in Living" which appeared in LIFE Magazine. Lowell has blocked-in this information in a pencil inscription along the top edge of the ink drawing, beneath the line of hour glasses. Helen Ring Robinson (1878–1923), was an American suffragist, writer, and elected to public office in Colorado.
