Two Silver Club of the Brudershaft Presentation Tankards, designed by Richard Greenough, made by Lincoln & Foss, Boston, Massachusetts, c. 1849, straight sided with hinged lids and cornucopia finials, angular handles, and molded and gadrooned base, one engraved on the front "To/A.T.W./May 7th 1849/Foruna tua sic semper secunda.," the other engraved "To/J.A.C./June 4th 1850/Lasso maris portus jam patet securus.," both with Lincoln & Foss marks on the bottom, with a 19th century photograph of the members of the club and biographies of each, ht. 7 3/8 in., approx. 45.7 troy oz. total.
