Presentation Silver Tankard, John Burt, Boston, Massachusetts, c. 1744, tapering body with molded lid and curved handle with disk terminal, and later addition silver spout, the bottom engraved "The Legacy of the/Honle Nathn Blagrove Esqr/who dyed June 26th 1744 AE 82/To the Revd Mr John Burt/of Bristol," marked below the rim in a sunken cartouche "JOHN/BURT," ht. 7 in., approx. 13.8 troy oz.

The lower handle attachment has an old solder repair closing a split at the body corresponding with the edge of the attachment. There is a small pinpoint dent just above the foot.
