Unsigned, the stretcher for the man's portrait inscribed "Mr. Hardy."
Oil on canvas, 30 x 25 in., in later gilt molded frames.
Condition: Relined, scattered retouch; the man with area of retouch on his cheek; the woman with repaired tear and retouch to the right of her face.
