Watercolor and pencil on paper, 6 3/4 x 5 5/8 in., in a mahogany veneer frame.
Condition: Minor toning, not examined out of frame.
Provenance: Don Walters, Northampton, Massachusetts, August 11, 1994.
Note: According to remarks in Three New England Watercolor Painters, this painting was obtained by Colonel and Mrs. Garbisch from Robert Carlen. It had been found in Rhode Island with other portraits of members of the Arnold family of Arnoldtown, Rhode Island.
Provenance: The Arthur & Sybil Kern Collection of American Folk Art.
