Imported Model 1850 Staff & Field Officer's Sword, c. 1861-65, brass hilt with foliate designs and "US," steel blade marked on the ricasso "HORSTER/SOLINGEN," blade lightly etched with foliate designs, an eagle, and "US," with a brass-mounted steel scabbard, blade lg. 32 1/4, overall lg. 38 1/2 in.

Hilt is loose on the blade, the blade has some light patination near the tip, and the brass drag on the scabbard has some wear from use.
