Clarke Private Contract Musket Marked "24/NY," c. late 18th century, .76 caliber, walnut stock, brass fittings, side plate number "39" with the butt plate tang engraved "24/NY," lock marked "CLARKE," breech has British proof marks, an "SP" stamp between them, and "LONDON" on the top of the barrel, and an iron ramrod, barrel lg. 42, overall lg. 58 in.

Stock has some dings and nicks as well as a break at the front sling swivel with a glued repair, some worm holes in the forend, the cock does not lock on half or full cock, and the steel parts are in good condition.
