Alfred Renoleau Palissy Ware Wall Plaque, France, c. 1890, shaped square form polychrome enamel decorated with fish, shells, and snail centering a naturalistic border set with lizards, snakes, and frogs, inscribed "Polakowski & Cie Roumazieres Chte A. Renoleau ceramiste," lg. 16 5/8 in.

Areas of heavy glaze crazing. No evidence of any cracks, chips or restorations to the surface. A few shallow rim flakes along the backside rim.
