Scottish Victorian Sterling Silver-gilt Jug, Edinburgh, 1875-76, Hamilton, Crichton & Co., maker, in the Renaissance Revival style with hardstone accents throughout, a lion head spout, and snake-form handle, ht. 5 5/8 in., approx. 10.4 troy oz.
Engraving removal to each of the two cartouches (each with loss to gilding, light abrasions). Otherwise in good overall condition, with only light age-typical surface wear and a short abrasion to lower body.
