Benjamin Willard Cherry Tall Clock, No. 269, Grafton, Massachusetts, molded arch hood with the freestanding turned columns flanking the roman numeral brass dial engraved with a phoenix in the arch and "Ut Hora Sic Vita Transit," seconds subdial reads "No. 269 Warranted," and below "Benja. Willard/Grafton," floral decoration surrounds the calendar aperture, serpentine full-length door with simple line beading on case edge, all terminating on a stepped molded base, eight-day time and hour-strike movement with half-moon cutout plates, regulated by a wooden rod pendulum, and powered by two tin-cased weights, ht. 85 in.
