The frame was opened during preview. The drawing is on paper (sheet size is 21 7/8 x 14 1/4 in.) which has been laid down on a secondary supporting sheet of thicker paper. That paper, in turn, has been glued down onto heavy paperboard. There is toning to the original sheet and it has been torn along the left margin.
