Signed "Louis Apol" l.r., identified and numbered "449" on a label from Kunsthandel Roelofs, Amsterdam, affixed to the stretcher.
Oil on canvas, 19 3/4 x 14 in. (50.0 x 35.0 cm),in a J.H. Brugman frame.
Condition: Small repair with retouch l.c., fine vertical craquelure, minor frame abrasion, surface grime.

Kunsthandel Roelofs label also bears a red wax seal.
Area of repair is located under the bridge in the corner of the embankment on the right side. The area or repair measures about 1-1/4 x 1 inch overall. Fine vertical lines of stable craquelure mainly in the sky.
Small puncture (1/8 inch diameter) located at the lower right edge in the snow, by the edge of the frame. A similarly sized puncture at the top left edge, in the sky close to the edge of the frame. A smaller puncture at the upper left side edge, 3 1/4 inches down from the upper left corner.
Frame abrasions and wear to the outer edges of the canvas.
Frame dimensions are 33 3/4 x 27 5/8 inches x 4 inches deep. Frame with several losses.
