Embroidered Panel Depicting Deer, China, late 18th/19th century, the four deer at rest on a grassy riverbank with narcissus, with a crane perched on a rock nestled amongst bamboo and pairs of magpie flying amidst a fruiting and flowering peach tree, the inscription "lu wei gao sheng" (may you soar through the ranks) embroidered on the upper right, 48 x 15 1/2 in., with later brocade border woven with lotus flowers, glazed and framed.
