Leading the ceramics offered in this auction is a rare Ming dynasty, green-ground, iron-red decorated double gourd vase. We are also featuring several important Kangxi period vases and bowls, as well as fine examples from the Republic period. Early Persian ceramics from a prominent New England collection are also featured in this auction.
Other highlights include a collection of exquisite Chinese bronze censers and vessels, another of Ming and Qing dynasty Buddhist bronze sculptures, and selections of jades, textiles, scholar’s rocks, paintings and furniture.
We are delighted to offer four Korean painted folding screens, and a rare early Japanese Kano school six-panel screen painting.
