Note: A 14th generation potter from Japan, Hanako's technique and philosophy are rooted in the ceramic traditions of Karatsu, Japan. But years spent living in the West have influenced her shapes and surfaces. Her wide variety of simple functional forms are carried in many galleries and shops throughout Japan and the U.S. She currently divides her time between studios in Japan and Maine.
