Watercolor on paper, 3 3/4 x 2 3/4 in., in a molded ebonized frame with gilt liner and modern eglomise mat.
Condition: Toned, not examined out of frame.

Provenance: Robert Thayer, New York, July 26, 1981.

Note: William Pierce Loring was born in Boston about 1795, the son of Matthew and Agnes or Nancy Loring. He was a goldsmith and customs officer.
