Federal Tiger Maple Sideboard, Massachusetts or New York, early 19th century, shaped top above a conforming case with concave lower cupboard joining square tapering legs, ht. 41, wd. 70 1/2, dp. 24 1/2 in.

top two-board, veneer losses and patching, losses and patching to some beading (many pieces retained),old brasses but not in original holes (evidence of single-post pulls at one time),other minor alterations. of some solid tiger maple and other veneered areas, backboards original, older refinish (has mellowed a little),cuff inlay looks original, secondary pine.
