Assembled Wedgwood Eric Ravilious Design "Persephone" Pattern Luncheon Service, England, mid-20th century, all black transfer printed to a queen's ware body, most with blue border, a pear-shaped teapot and cover, ht. 6 7/8; pear-shaped creamer, ht. 4 1/2; low creamer, ht. 2 7/8; sugar bowl, dia. 3 1/4; waste bowl, dia. 4; three coffee canns and saucers; one teacup with five saucers; four bowls, dia. 6 3/8; plates, (2) dia. 6 1/4, (6) dia. 7, (3) dia. 8 1/4, (3) dia. 9 1/8, (6) dia. 10; two soup plates, dia. 9 1/8; five with yellow border: pear-shaped cream jug, ht. 4 1/2; plate, dia. 8 1/4; and three soup plates, dia. 9 1/4; a pink bordered soup plate, dia. 9 1/4; a black only saucer, dia. 5 1/2; and a gold printed bone china sugar bowl and saucer, ht. 3 1/2 in.; printed and impressed marks.
6 3/8" bowls: each with usage abrasions to glaze.
Most plates with very slight and scattered usage abrasions.
Yellow bordered 8 1/4" late: considerable glaze usage wear.
No evidence of any cracks, chips or restorations throughout.
