First edition, octavo, title printed within typographical ornament border, text in Roman letter, ex libris Newberry Library with their bookplate marked duplicate and withdrawn in 1993 with librarian's initials, bound in later full calf, a.e.g., hinges very tender, 6 x 4 in.
Fletcher served as English ambassador to Russia in 1588. Cultural observations such as his, written from an outsider's perspective at the end of the 16th century, are uncommon.
