George I Britannia Standard Silver Tankard, London, 1717-18, Daniel Yerbury, maker, with a domed lid, scrolled thumbpiece, and central engraved armorial, ht. 6 3/4 in., approx. 28.8 troy oz.
In good overall condition. Body and lid with no pitting or thinness to metal that would suggest engraving removal. Thumbpiece bent in towards lid, some pitting to hinge (see images). Small silver solder repair to area just above lower handle joint (unobtrusive, see images). Several small pinprick dents to handle and edge of lid. Age related surface wear.
