George I Britannia Standard Silver Coffeepot, London, 1715-16, Edward Vincent, maker, lid and finial unmarked, typical lighthouse form with engraved armorial to body and monogram to underside, ht. 9 3/4 in., approx. 22.5 troy oz.
Provenance: Reportedly from the family of Lydia Pickering Lyman nee Williams (1763-1826) and formerly housed at The Vale.

Lid only with standard mark, finial unmarked. All elements with crude monogram lightly engraved. Allover surface wear, scattered pitting, and shallow dents. Crude joint to interior of lid where it is joined by hinge (see image).
