Italian Violin, Testore Family, labeled Carlo Antonio Testore in/Contrada Larga di Milano al/fegno dell' Aquila. 1736, length of back 357 mm, with case.

Certificate: John & Arthur Beare, 1927, ascribed to Carlo Antonio Testore.
Estimate $25,000-35,000

Numerous repaired cracks front and back (including sound post cracks), rib cracks, A-peg cracks bushed, reduced in size, purfled later, possibly composite. See diagram.
