Antique Sapphire and Diamond Ring, set with a cushion-cut sapphire measuring approx. 9.50 x 7.60 x 5.30 mm, framed by old mine-cut diamonds, approx. total diamond wt. 1.10 cts., size 5 3/4.
Provenance: According to family history, the ring was originally owned by Harriet King Bayley (1816-1887) who left it to her niece with the instruction that it would pass within the family to others named Harriet.
Note: Accompanied by a period note stating that the sapphire originated from Emmons Bar, Montana, and was cut by Martin Knabel in Bremen, Germany.
