Athabaskan or Sub-Arctic Cree "Octopus Bag," c. 1870s, brown stroud cloth bag with cotton interior lining, two lines of small white beads outline the entire edge front and back, front beaded in a multicolored floral pattern, the back also beaded in floral pattern with two flowers issuing from a central flower, with four tabs on both sides, originally four tassels per tab, 18 3/4 x 10 5/8 in.
