Acting Lieutenant Alden Spear's Naval Papers, c. 1863, secretarial letters written for Admiral David Farragut aboard the Hartford promoting Alden Spear, two letters of promotion signed by Secretary of the Navy, Gideon Welles, and a carte-de-visite of Spear in uniform.

Papers have some tears, folds, and foxing. Image has some tape marks on the top left, head, and below the feet.
