Colt U.S. Army Model 1917 Double-action Revolver, c. 1920, serial number 297933, .45 ACP caliber, checkered black hard rubber grips with "COLT" medallions, U.S. government markings on underside of barrel, eagle over "S20" inspector's mark at top of frame, U.S. Army number 150029 on butt, frosty bore with bold rifling, (grips chipped, sight resoldered, action loose),barrel lg. 5 1/2, overall lg. 10 3/4 in.
