WWI U.S. Balloon Corps Wings, c. 1917-18, bat-style silver wings with a central balloon and "US," screw back and marked "STERLING" near the top of the wing, with a black velvet-covered steel backing plate covered with uniform cloth on the opposite side, overall lg. 3 3/8, ht. 1 in.

In overall very good condition with a period silver solder repair to one of the screws on the back at the base were it meets the wings.
