Lacquered Brass 11-inch Planetarium, France, 19th century, with 1-in. sun-sphere, geared hand-turned mechanism to revolve the Earth and Moon, seven circle paper planets with descriptions (lacking four) on brass rotating arms, horizon ring with scales and names of the Zodiacal calendar, engraved meridian reading "Solstices" on the outer arms, mounted to a turned ebonized wood column, ht. 17 in.
