Two Pages from an Illuminated Manuscript, Persia, possibly 16th century, ink, opaque color, and gilt on paper, the left leaf with a miniature painting depicting seated scholars discussing books, the right with four columns of text in nastaliq calligraphy, the remainder of the page decorated with figures, trees, and beasts all in gilt, framed and glazed, sight size 9 1/4 x 12 1/4 in.
