Description:

Two George II Sterling Silver Card Trays, each London, mid-18th century, with shell accented rim on three feet, one 1752-53, with engraved coat of arms to center and maker's mark "WI," the other 1742-43, by Joseph Sanders, dia. each 6 3/8 in., approx. 12.5 troy oz. total.
Estimate $400-600

Each lacquered with surface pealing to underside, surface wear, light abrasions. No evidence of engraving removal to either (no surface inconsistencies or apparent thinning to center).
