Earth seen from lunar distance, Apollo 8, December 1968. Numbered 'NASA AS8-16-2622' (NASA MSC) in red on the recto u.l. margin. Vintage chromogenic print on fiber-based Kodak paper with 'A Kodak Paper' watermark on the verso, image size 7 1/4 x 7 7/8 in. (18.3 x 19.8 cm),unmatted.
Condition: Good.

N.B. 'The vast loneliness up here at the moon is awe-inspiring,' said Jim Lovell in a live telecast from lunar orbit, 'and it makes you realize what you have back there on Earth. The Earth from here is a grand oasis in the big vastness of space.'
