Octavo, printed by Lippincott in Philadelphia, containing autographs, signed cards, clipped signatures, and a few letters, approximately 100 in total, including: John Greenleaf Whittier, Schuyler Colfax, Samuel F.B. Morse, Robert E. Lee, P.T. Barnum, Horace Greeley, Oliver Wendell Holmes, William Cullen Bryant, Charles Sumner, Bronson Alcott, Thomas Nast (with a drawing),and many others, full original morocco, ex libris Harlan G. Mendenhall, a clergyman and journalist who worked for a time at the Springfield Republican newspaper in Massachusetts; sewing perished, boards detached, 7 1/2 x 5 in.
