Description:

Stowe, Harriet Beecher (1811-1896) Autograph Letter Signed, 12 September 1883. Single leaf of laid paper inscribed over one page to an unnamed recipient, regarding the characters from Uncle Tom's Cabin, old folds, the letter broken into four pieces along folds, 8 1/4 x 5 1/4 in.
"Eva is wholly ideal, the other characters, tho suggested by real persons, none of them embody a real history of anyone in particular."
