John Poole Eight-day Marine Chronometer and Records, 57 Fenchurch St., London, no. 2710, 4-1/2-in. silvered roman numeral dial with seven-day up/down indicator, seconds bit, gold hands, and engraved "Maker to the Admiralty," damascened plate movement with chain fusee, helical hairspring, split balance with adjustment screws and brass weights, and spring detent escapement, fully gimbaled brass bowl stamped "2710," all housed in a mahogany box, with Navy department records dated January 28, 1947.
