Early Brass Surveyor's Compass, attributed to Dodd, late 18th century, 6-in. dia. silvered dial with compass rose, calibrated needle ring 0-90 in four quadrants, blued-steel hand with brass lifter, brass half-moon scale calibrated 0-50 in two directions with brass spade hand, brass limb with spirit levels and tripod collar, lg. 15 in.
