Joseph Farr Surveyor's Vernier Compass, Manlius Village, New York, first half 19th century, 5 3/4-in. engraved silver dial reading "J. Farr Manlius Village, N.Y." in the northern quadrant, eight-point rose with fleur-de-lis representing north, blued-steel needle, with brass lifter, dual vials, vernier, and screw-mount sights, lg. 15 1/2 in.
