Aaron Willard Jr. Mahogany Wall Regulator, Boston, c. 1830, cast brass steeple-top finial surmounting the hinged molded bezel over the 12 1/2-in. roman numeral painted iron dial with blued pierced hands, seconds bit and calendar, half-round molded frames, encasing the black and gold reverse-painted original glasses, eight-day trapezoidal movement stamped "A. Willard Jr.," with a knife-edge deadbeat escapement, powered by a cast iron weight, and regulated by a cast brass pendulum bob and gilded wooden rod, ht. with finial 57 in.
